After a challenging 3-ball better ball round in scorching conditions, the favorite choice for everyone was a cold beer. The Vets representative, Jill Roach, did a fantastic job once again by organizing a delightful Vets Day lunch to kick off our celebrations in honor of last year’s winners. It was heartwarming to witness numerous ladies participating, enjoying good food, delightful company, and perhaps indulging in a glass or two of bubbles.
The winners of the 3BBB competition were Robyn Himmelberg, Allison Acker, and Kate Anderson with a score of 51. The runners-up were Geraldine Earl, Sue Taferner, and Rosezita Pearce with a score of 50. The Vets prize was awarded to the second runners-up, Robyn Maxted, Lynette Goodwin, and Margi Collins, with a score of 49 c/b.
Lynette Goodwin emerged as the Vets Championship winner this year, with Diane Barakat securing the runner-up position. Pam Findlay claimed victory in the Senior Vet category, while Trish Huthwaite excelled as the Golden Oldie winner. Robyn Maxted clinched the point score victory, and Trish Huthwaite also triumphed in the Super Senior Championship category. It was a day filled with celebrations, smiles, and maybe a touch of holiday cheer. đ đ„
