
Shining under the sun in a sea of pink, the Women’s Charity Golf Day at Woolooware Golf Club (ladies) was a remarkable success. Despite a few unexpected showers, the event saw some outstanding golf performances in the 2 best scores team competition.
Supporting Bay Babes Charity
The day was dedicated to raising funds for Bay Babes, a charity providing invaluable support to individuals battling breast cancer. Thanks to the dedication of the organising committee, led by President Lynne Willis and Captain Lynette Goodwin, along with the Charity committee spearheaded by Sue Wyse and Therese Baker, a record-breaking amount of $14,033 was raised.
Community Effort and Generosity
Gratitude was extended to all volunteers who contributed their time and effort, as well as the generous donations from members that truly showcased the spirit of teamwork and community at Woolooware Golf Club (ladies).
Winners and Achievements
Celebrating the achievements of the day, the winning team comprising Sharon Dufour, Michelle Harding, Megan Deller, and Jodi Horrell showcased exceptional skill with a score of 97. Following closely behind were Jenny Taylor, Tracey Fisher, Virginia Lukins, and Judy Haes in 2nd place with a score of 94 on countback.
In 3rd place, Maureen Morgan, Donna Lincoln, Megan Convoy, and Bernadette Potter tied with a score of 94, while Merryl Mountain, Pam Findlay, Sue Shaw, and Pamela Johns secured 4th place with a score of 91 on countback. The Gross 2 score team winners were Jillian Convoy, Donna Rann, Deb Timmins, and Sue Sutherland with an impressive score of 64.
It was truly a day filled with camaraderie, sportsmanship, and support for a noble cause, reflecting the true essence of the Woolooware Golf Club (ladies) community.
