Stormwater Works Update at Woolooware Golf Club

Important Update: Stormwater Works Delayed Until Early 2027

Please note that the stormwater works originally planned for mid-September have now been delayed until early 2027. We will keep members informed as the project timeline is confirmed.

About the Stormwater Management Project

As part of a stormwater management plan, Sutherland Shire Council will be installing a Gross Pollutant Trap (GPT) underneath the road between the Club’s western and eastern car parks. This large device is designed to remove rubbish from stormwater before it enters the golf course, improving water quality flowing into the course and Botany Bay – a positive outcome for both the Club and the local environment.

What to Expect During the Works

When the project does commence, the access road between the two car parks will be closed and fenced off for the full duration of the works, 24 hours a day. Pedestrian access will remain available throughout the project, however there will be no vehicle access between the two car parks.

No car parking spaces will be lost – you simply won’t be able to drive between the two car parks during this time.

• Enter the western car park via Gannons Road
• Enter the eastern/main car park via Harnleigh Avenue

While this will cause some inconvenience, the long-term benefits for the Golf Club, the local community, and the environment are significant. The Club will continue to keep members updated on progress and any changes to the schedule.
