Stormwater Improvement Project Underway at Woolooware Golf Club

Sutherland Shire Council is undertaking a significant stormwater management project at Woolooware Golf Club, installing a Gross Pollutant Trap (GPT) underneath the access road between the Club’s western and eastern car parks. The GPT is a large underground device designed to capture and remove rubbish from stormwater before it flows onto the golf course and into Botany Bay – a great outcome for both the Club and the local environment.

Work is scheduled to begin mid-September and run through to early November. During this time, the access road between the two car parks will be fully closed and fenced off, 24 hours a day for the duration of the project.

What This Means for Members and Visitors

While the road between the car parks will be closed to vehicles, pedestrian access will remain available throughout the works. Importantly, no car parking spaces will be lost during the project – you simply won’t be able to drive between the two car parks.

Please use the following entry points during the works:

• Western car park – enter via Gannons Road
• Eastern/main car park – enter via Harnleigh Avenue

We understand this is a little inconvenient, and we appreciate your patience and understanding. The long-term benefits for the Golf Club, the local community, and the environment make this project well worth it. The Club will keep members informed of progress and any changes as the works proceed.
