Elaine Anderson recently celebrated her 80th birthday, and we were delighted to see many members and friends attend today, to wish her well and enjoy the birthday cupcakes. Elaine was enthusiastic about sharing her story of how she came to join Woolooware and meeting her husband Geoff over 60 years ago. Elaine has been an active participant at Woolooware, playing in pennant teams, serving on the committee, and acting as handicapper for many years. It is wonderful to see her returning to the club and being out on the course. Lynne also recognized Meg Russell’s 40-year membership today. Meg has a rich history with the club and is a dedicated supporter of competitive players in pennants and inter-club competitions. Her contributions include being a pennant player, caddy, Women’s President, and active Legacy Day committee member. We appreciate the significant impact these two legends have had on shaping the women’s role and involvement at Woolooware. Stay young, stay connected- play golf
