Round 5 Update: Royal Sydney Away

Round 5 of our Men’s Major Pennant was played today against Royal Sydney at their course. While the overall result didn’t go our way, with Woolooware falling short 2.5-4.5, we had some fantastic individual performances that kept the match competitive throughout the day.

Kurt maintained his undefeated run with a thrilling finish, taking the final three holes to win 1up. Jake also extended his impressive streak to 20 matches without defeat, securing a tied match. Andy Houghton stepped up this week and put on an outstanding display to win 3&2, showing the depth of talent in our squad.

Elite Hospitality and Course Experience

The hospitality at Royal Sydney was elite, and all eight members of our team, including Dovey, were grateful for the opportunity to play and experience the new Gil Hanse redesign. It’s always special to compete on such a prestigious course and be welcomed so warmly by our hosts.

Crucial Home Match Next Sunday

Next Sunday, we play Royal Sydney at HOME at Woolooware Golf Club. We must win to have any chance of progressing, though we’ll also need another result to fall our way. This makes it a crucial match for our season, and we’d love to see as many members out supporting as possible.
