Despite a tough loss of 4.5/0.5 against Castle Hill at Mona Vale, The Grade team showed incredible spirit and determination throughout the match. Facing a strong team of young players, each member of the team put up a valiant effort and displayed excellent sportsmanship on the course.
Deb showcased her skills against a talented opponent who was over 50 years her junior, while Sue managed to secure a square against a junior player who eagled the first hole. Lynne had a close match with her young opponent, only conceding on the 17th hole. Margi had an impressive performance in her very first Grade Pennant match, and Robyn stepped up admirably at short notice to fill in for Barb.
Despite the loss, the team celebrated their efforts on the bus ride home with cheering, laughter, and singing. The camaraderie among the players and caddies was evident, highlighting the strong bond within the team. The Grade team may not have secured a win, but their sportsmanship and teamwork certainly made them winners in spirit.
