Woolooware Men’s Team Earns Promotion to Division 2

Historic Promotion Victory

What an incredible achievement for Woolooware Golf Club (Pro Shop)! Our Men’s Major Pennant Team has earned promotion to Division 2 following a thrilling 4-3 semi-final victory at Mac Links today. The win not only secures our place in Division 2 for 2027 but also books us a spot in the Pennant Final at NSW Golf Club next Sunday.

It was an absolute massive effort from the entire team, our dedicated Manager, our supportive caddies, and the many members who travelled out to watch and cheer on the boys. The atmosphere was electric as we fought hard against a very competitive Randwick side in what proved to be a fitting finish between two evenly matched clubs.

Match-Winning Performances

Jake, Dax, Jamo and Kurt secured our four crucial points today in what was a tense and exciting contest. Special mention must go to Kurt, who held his nerve under immense pressure with the weight of the entire club on his shoulders. He won his match on the 3rd extra hole of sudden death, delivering the result we needed to progress.

Commiserations to Randwick for a great fight. It was a match that showcased the best of pennant golf, and both teams should be proud of their efforts.

Pennant Final Next Sunday
