The Grade Pennant team had an early start as they boarded the bus to Cumberland for their match. Despite a tough game against the home team, the girls in pink put up a great fight, ultimately losing 3/2. The match came down to the wire, with Lynne narrowly missing a crucial putt on the 18th hole. The team showed great support for each other, making the day a memorable one to end the season on.
Castle Hill emerged as the Pennant champions, but our girls were thrilled to bring home the bronze medal. After the match, Cumberland treated everyone to a delicious Chinese meal, adding to the camaraderie of the day. A few celebratory drinks were had on the bus ride back, creating a joyful atmosphere. Congratulations were in order for all the players and caddies who contributed to a successful season.
The team for the day included Deb Timmins, Sue Sutherland, Lynne Willis, Moira Frazer, and Barb Foy, with caddies Leanne Varney, Margi Collins, Julie Morris, Lynette Goodwin, and Tracey Arnold. It was a day filled with competitive golf, support from teammates, and a fun end-of-season celebration.
