The Grade Pennant team from Woolooware had an early start at 6 am for their last game of the season against Mona Vale. Despite the challenging matchups, the team showed great sportsmanship in their 3 1/2 – 1 1/2 loss to Cumberland. The Div 4 flag was taken home by Royal Sydney in a well-fought competition. Mona Vale was praised for being wonderful hosts throughout the event.
Special recognition goes to the team members – Dinah Moran, Sue Sutherland, Lynne Willis, Barb Foy, and Liane Nowak. Liane, the field captain, played a key role in keeping the team well-organized and ensuring their glucose levels were maintained with mixed lolly bags. The caddies – Margi Collins, Moira Frazer, Julie Morris, Leanne Varney, and Maree Cozens – provided invaluable support to the players throughout the tournament.
